Grand Opening
The Grand Opening for the new David L. Lawrence Convention Center consisted of three major events. The first event was a Saturday night VIP Gala complete with sit-down dinner and staged national entertainment, followed by an after-hours bash for Pittsburgh's younger set. The third event featured a Sunday afternoon of entertainment and educational activities and refreshments open to the public at no charge.
